Attended Indian Education Congress 2015

 Attended Day 1 of Indian Education Congress 2015 at Vivanta by Taj today.
Got a chance to meet and listen to great speakers , educationalists and other stakeholders .
All sessions were very good but I especially enjoyed sessions on
1. "How technology can be a game changer for education ,to achieve the innovation much better " by Rajiv Arora 
2. Building future ready schools 
3. Digitisation of education

Tweetmeet with Anthony Salocito

Being part of MIE Expert 15 group is a great  learning experience . We are getting chances continuously to update our knowledge and interact with experts .Recently a tweetmeet (meeting via twitter ) was organised and announcement of same was made through our Facebook group .

During tweet meet various thought provoking questions were asked by MIE Experts which were answered by Mr. Anthony Salicito ( VP , Worldwide Education , Microsoft)

Dubai Global Forum | 22-23 February 2015

The Global Forum in Dubai from 22-23 February, enabled by Microsoft, was a chance  for education stakeholders to discuss how technology can address key challenges in Education for the 21st Century. Education Leaders, School Leaders, Innovation Partners and Stakeholders from International Organizations and NGOs engaged in work sessions on preparing Learners for Work and Life in the 21st Century. Eve Psalti, Microsoft Director Worldwide Education, Brad Tipp, Microsoft Chief Technology Officer, Worldwide Education and James Bernard, Microsoft Director Education Partners represented Microsoft education at the event.

The audience of well over 500 included K12 and Vocational innovative educators, school leaders, partners, NGOs, government officials and media from nearly 40 countries across the Middle East, Africa and India.

It was a great privilege for me to be invited at Microsoft Dubai Global Forum as Panelist for Educators Track and the topic was

" Concepts and Contexts for Deep Learning"

Expert Educators: Meenakshi Uberoi; Mamta Narula; Lyneth Crighton

I was accompanied by Meenakshi Uberoi. She is a nice friend and an innovative educator and above all an excellent human being . It was an excellent experience taking sessions with you and spending time in exploring Dubai 's Malls.

Got an opportunity to meet Mr Anthony Salcito(Vice President, Microsoft Worldwide Education, Microsoft Corporation) in person and and to listen to his insights in to Use of Technology in Teaching .He said "Technology can not be your plan but it can definitely be part of your plan "

Also got chance to meet young , energetic and lovely person Minnia Feng (Business Development Manager at Microsoft ) . She arranged for My Daily Adventure's interview  with Mr Anthony Salcito.

Got an opportunity to visit Innovation area and see the latest additions and innovations in technology in teaching

Mentorship talk for MIELA participants

I and Mr Srinivasan Sriram were invited to give Mentor ship talk for participants of Microsoft Innovative Educator Leadership Awards (MIELA) 2015 held on 20th February 2015 at WelcomHotel, Dwarka, New Delhi.

We shared with them, our journey with Microsoft educator’s network and told them about scope of their learning and growth and how it will benefit the student community and other educators.

 It was a great experience as we also got an opportunity to see the work of MIELA participants and interact with them.

Microsoft Innovative Educators Leadership Awards (MIELA) 2015 is a national contest instituted by Microsoft to create a platform for expression of innovative ideas of educators in India. This contest was launched in the year 2014 to honor the best classroom innovators from K12 & HED across the country by highlighting, recognizing, and rewarding educators who are using technology in amazing ways.

Microsoft  keep on intoducing  new and amazing applications and Sway is one of them.
All Mie experts tried this new application and created their Sway.
It is an entirely new way of expressing our idea

Workshop for teachers

I took workshop for teachers ‪to make them aware of need of technology in teaching .

Workshop was attended by 50 teachers of Junior school of DPS Vasant Kunj on 3oth December ,2014 in Discovery Lab.

Teachers were shown the work done by other educators in field of technology and its utility in present time.they were also shown various softwares and applications that can be used in teaching .Also they were made aware of PIL Network and its benifits



My suggestions to them
1.Dive in.
Start playing – exploring – trying. You won’t break anything. Find out what is out there, and discover tools that will work with your students.

2.Be updated
One of the most useful ways you can use technology is to keep yourself up to date on the latest developments in the education field—what are other teachers doing?
Read blogs
Join some Teacher's network
Get active on social media
3.Be patient
